He has grown up so fast!  He still isn’t crawling– but he can now sit by himself now, and he’s definitely rolling around everywhere. When we went to his doctors appt on 3/9 he weighed 16lbs 13.5oz and was 28″ tall.

He also broke through his first tooth! *tears* I miss those little baby moments when he first came home

School has been going okay. I’m no longer taking my spanish class, but I’m trying really hard to pass Biology. I’ve signed up for my summer classes!!!

I also went to a job fair Friday and hopefully I’ll hear a call-back for a management position at Rue 21.

In just 6 more days my son will be 5 months old. Sometimes it’s hard to believe he’s grown so much already. Seems like yesterday I had him. He’s gotten so much bigger. He now weighs 15.5lbs and is 26.5 inches long. I need to make a doctors appt for next month. It’ll be his 6 month check up. Wow! Half a year has gone by already!!!

I’m taking Biology 210 all over again but with Dr. Accardi, and I’m taking Spanish 101 so that I can touch up on my Spanish before I go into the medical field. Spanish is just an elective for me though. Summer semester I’ll be taking Biology 211 with Dr. Accardi, and I’ll be taking Biology 225 but not sure with whom yet. At the end of my summer semester I will graduate with my Health Science Prep Certificate and I’ll be taking my TEAS test. I won’t be able to get into the nursing program until January 2012, because of the waiting list =( So in the mean time I’m going to try and get into the Phlebotomy program so I can go ahead and get a job in the lab at the nearest hospital. It’ll help me, and I’ll first dibs for a job as an RN in the hospital if I already work there. And my favorite teacher is head of the lab at Kershaw Health (she was my Medical Terminology professor) my first semester in 2009. Wow! I have been in school now for 2 years!!! Can you just imagine???

Anyways…. so more good news!! I put in an application at Target Distribution Center. If you remember me saying from Facebook— Chris has a job there, but he works from 6pm-6am Saturday, Sunday and Monday and he works as MBP (Break Pack) and if I get an interview and a job, I’ll be working as a packer Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 6am-6pm. Chris is still trying to get changed to the day shift. He still isn’t doing well with third shift, and I think he’d enjoy himself better and get more sleep if he worked day shift.

Also we did our taxes yesterday!!! (we got our W2′s in the mail) and let me just say, that having a child UPed those taxes!!! We’re not sure when we’ll be getting them, or when they’ll be approved, but we do ours through direct deposit so we get ours faster than those who do it through paper. I just know that I’ll be getting a VERY special gift when we get those taxes back, and I can’t wait until I can share it with everyone.

Because of my friend Amy, this blog will be inspired by her. I enjoy how she told about every month of last year, and that something exciting happened every month. I won’t be putting every month on this blog, but I will be pin-pointing the good months out of last year, that were really special to me =)

January

I was 5 weeks & 6 days pregnant with Christopher & we were able to see an ultrasound picture. This let me know that I was pregnant with him (besides the pregnancy test that I had taken in December). Because of so many things in the past that has happened, they put me on Prometrium that same day, to ensure that I was able to keep this pregnancy.

April

I was 19 weeks and 4 days pregnant with Christopher & we were able to find out that we were indeed naming him Christopher. One of the happiest moments of my life. It took us 45 minutes to find his little ‘peeter bug’ but he let us finally know that his first name would be the same as his daddy’s.

July

I was 31 weeks pregnant with Christopher, and we decided to travel the 2500+ miles to New York in a car to visit family. — worst trip of my ENTIRE LIFE!!!! The car ride was horrible & I swelled the WHOLE way!!!! It took us close to 15 hours to get there, when it usually takes 11 hours. We had fun in New York though. Neither one of us had to work & that felt great! I also had a break from school– and I needed one of those too! As you guys know, I go to school all year round with Spring Break, and Winter Break & of course holidays separating those school days.

August

I was 36 weeks pregnant with Christopher & this month celebrated my baby shower!!! =) I had 40 people counted at my baby shower, and I just wish I could’ve had someone take pictures of everyone sitting around, but instead I had the picture taken of me with all the gifts for baby Christopher. I have decided this will be my last baby shower– unless I become pregnant with a little girl, then I’ll have another one– because I think she’d look pretty funny in blue all the time =) I need at least some pink and purple haha. =)

Christopher Michael Anderson was born on September 9 2010 at 8:17pm and weighed  in at 8lbs 2.3oz and was 20.5in long. Happiest and proudest and most loving moment of my being!!!!

I have been so busy getting everything ready for Christmas, and now that Christmas is over and the new year is about to ring in, I’ll be back in school and won’t have very much time to write.

Oh how I used to love to write all the time. I’ve even slacked off on letters and journals for months on end. My life is totally wrapped up in my son now. Which by the way– he is growing like a weed!!! Most of the readers of this journal have my facebook, so they see the photos everyday. He is getting so big, and it’s so hard to believe that Jan. 9th he’ll be 4 months old. He’s already eating cereal, and almost holding his own bottle. He still has some trouble sitting up on his own, but with a little help he gets it for a couple seconds at a time— until his head brings him down lol. He has a big head like his momma. =) He’s always smiling. He’s usually a momma’s boy, but when he isn’t; he totally wants his dada. We pretty much share time with our little Christopher. He doesn’t like to be apart from either one of us for very long.

He goes over to my parents’ whenever Chris and I want to go out, or if Chris and I are both working. Pretty soon I’ll be going back to school again, and he won’t be seeing me for very long on Tuesdays & Thursdays. I’ve signed up for my Biology 210 class, and for Spanish 101.

Will be going home tomorrow & I can’t wait for my bundle of joy to be there.

I went in Wednesday 9/8 at 6:00am to be induced. I never had wanted to be induced, but little Christopher just didn’t want to make his debut quite yet. They started me on pitocin around 7:30 am. By 5:00pm, I hadn’t eaten since midnight the night before, and I had to be taken off the pitocin, because I was still only 1.5 cm diated. I took a shower to relax ate, and went to bed. They woke me up at 6:00am on 9/9 to start pitocin all over again. I still was only 1.5 cm but was 90% effaced. My doctor came in around 7:30am and broke my water. I went from 1.5cm to 3cm in about an hour, and I got my epi after receiving another pain medicine first. I’m a FTM and having never had an epi before, you can imagine my shock when it didn’t hurt at all, and I couldn’t feel anything from the waist down. by about 7:30pm I had went from 1.5cm to about 4.5cm, but wasn’t dilating anymore & I wasn’t effacing anymore either. My doctor came and discussed with me the possibility of having to do a C-section. This was originally NOT in my birth plan, however; little Christopher just wasn’t coming out.

By 8:15pm little Christopher was born!!!! He weighed in at 8lbs 2.3 oz and was 20 1/2 inches tall. I haven’t found out the scores yet for his apgars, because they never gave the numbers to my husband while I was in recovery. I was in recovery for 2 hours, due to loss of too much blood, a fever, & high-blood pressure.

When I came out my husband, mom, dad, MIL, & FIL were waiting for me & as Christopher was put into my arms the hospital played a lullaby. I hadn’t eaten since 9:30 the previous night and was not allowed to eat anything at all last night. For breakfast I have to eat chicken broth, if they decide my condition is well enough to eat… I’M STARVING

They woke us up at 5:30 this morning to feed Christopher. He’s having some trouble getting used to the bottle, and he keeps falling asleep as I try to feed him.

I have since been able to get him to eat VERY well =)

I have my doctors appt later today. First I have class from 11:35-2:15 and then I have my doctors appt at 3:15.  Not sure what I’m getting induced, but I should be Wed sometime, so I’ll keep everyone updated by my facebook page. I probably won’t post on here until after we get home, and settled down after the visitors that we’ll be having =)

On a much brighter note, my G. Susie bought Christopher’s pack-n-play today =)

40 weeks 5 days….

I had another Doctors Appt today. My BP was 122/60 today =) She checked me again and said that I was still only a finger-tip dilated. She also said that I’m not favorable for induction right now because my cervix isn’t thinned out at all. She said if I haven’t had Christopher by Tuesday, she’ll see me that day and then induce me on Wednesday.

I’ll keep everyone updated as often as I can!

PS: School is going great! =)
